Do you want to become a part of the world’s largest dedicated security
technology company, and take part in interesting and varying client projects?
Have you always wanted to use your testing and coding abilities to something
significant, such as securing the on-line safety of everyone and everything
connected to the internet? Do you wish to work alongside great colleagues with
a common goal to make the cyber world a safer place? If so, come and hear about
the career possibilities Intel Security is offering.
Together with McAfee/Intel Security (I will explain these brands in the
following chapters, so be patient and keep reading J) we are organizing a recruitment tour. We are aiming to attract both
future talents and people with a track record of achievements. We’ll visit four
schools and after this we’ll organize an event, where we will invite all
potential candidates from juniors to gurus. The
schedule for the school tour is following:
o 7.10.2014 from 10am to 2pm: Laurea University of Applied Sciences, Leppävaara – Network to get work
o 8.10.2014 from 10am to 2pm: Helsinki Metropolia University of Applied Sciences, Bulevardi Campus, uuden kemian aulao 14.10.2014 from 10am to 2pm: University of Helsinki, Kumpula Campus, Exactum
o 16.10.2014 from 10.30am to 1.30pm: Aalto University, house of Computer Science and Engineering
o 6.11.2014 TalentIT fairs at Aalto University
In addition to telling you about amazing career opportunities (by the
way, thesis workers are also welcome), we will be serving free coffee and tea!
Even more reasons to come and have a chat with us. You will recognize us from
Studentwork and Intel Security banners and beautiful smiles. Well, at least the
former.
Finally - thank you for your patience - more information on our client company
and the different brands: Intel Corporation is an American multinational corporation headquartered in Santa Clara, California. Intel is one of the world's largest and highest valued semiconductor chip makers, based
on revenue. It is the inventor of the x86 series of microprocessors, the processors found in most personal computers.
Furthermore, McAfee, part of Intel Security is the world's
largest dedicated security technology company. On February 28, 2011, McAfee
became a wholly owned subsidiary of Intel. In early 2014,
Intel announced it would rebrand McAfee as Intel Security. However, while Intel
Security is (mostly) used in the external communication of the company, the McAfee
name still lives on in the product names.
Furthermore, if you are familiar with the field and have heard of a Finnish
company called Stonesoft, it was acquired by McAfee in 2013. After this Intel Security has
invested heavily in Finland and employed a significant number of new software
professionals – the plan for year 2015 is to continue this growth.
o 107 600 employees (at the end of 2013)
o 2013 net revenue: 52,7 billion US dollars
o Offices in 70 countries
o 2013 net revenue: 52,7 billion US dollars
o Offices in 70 countries
After the school tour we’ll hold an informal event,
where we will outline Intel Security’s plans for the next 12 months and beyond.
Thus, even if you are not considering a career move immediately we would love
to meet you. The event will be held 5th of November at 5pm in
Kamppi. In order to enroll to the event, read first HERE (Software Developer) and HERE (Quality Assurance Developer) what we are offering and you can also
contact recruitment specialist Essi Heino for more information. While the
recruitment focus is in these positions, Intel Security is always willing to
hear about your experience and achievements related to other roles.

There will be several of the Intel Security team present at the event,
so you will have the possibility to ask job related questions. The company is
highly committed to finding the best employees and their HR personnel are
flying over from England especially for the event. They can also tell you about
international opportunities.
I am finishing with Intel Security’s Senior Recruitment Business Partner
Paul Helbrough’s, UK office, words: “A few years ago the number of things
connected to the Internet surpassed the number of people on Earth and by 2020
this number is expected to reach 50 Billion. Imagine that... for every living
person there will be SEVEN devices connected to the internet. How would you like
to work for a company committed to ensuring that this connected world is free
from threats and is a safe environment for every corporation or individual.
Well, that company is Intel Security and you can be a real part of this
exciting challenge... are you up for it?”
We hope to
see many of you at the events! J

of Intel Security team,
